Tim Cowdrick

Principal, Financial Consultant

Tim brings years of experience to Equitable, starting in 2011 specializing in tax-deferred retirement plans and public employee pension benefits. He has grown his expertise to include his primary focus of individual investment management and retirement planning. In his current role as Director of K-12 & Municipality Retirement Plans, Tim has cultivated relationships with numerous local school districts and municipalities to help educate individuals on their retirement plan options. He is dedicated to providing holistic planning techniques and strategies, by integrating the breadth of knowledge amassed by his Equitable colleagues.

Tim’s philosophy plays a primary role in his approach: he is dedicated to getting to know his clients on a personal level, so he can understand the whole picture of a client’s current financial landscape. He then maps that information back to the personal aspects of each client: what their goals and aspirations are with their future financial freedom. He can then provide a complete picture of a client’s strategy and provides multiple customized plan options for a valuable financial future.

Connecting with people is a vital part of Tim’s professional life, and it translates to his ability to provide clients with a lifelong advisory partnership. He is ardently involved in promoting opportunities to connect and network for Lakeside team members and their clients, and believes that the key to success is through teamwork.

Tim is an enthusiastic supporter and participant in various community events and fundraisers, including the Cleveland Clinic VeloSano fundraiser as a donor and rider, and the Equitable Gold Mentorship Program as a mentor to new advisors. Tim enjoys his life outside of work with his wife, Amber, and their golden retriever, Griff. As an avid sports enthusiast, he particularly enjoys supporting his local Cleveland sports teams, and golfing. Fun fact: He loves Taco Tuesday! (But who doesn’t?)
