As Lakeside’s Benefits Coordinator, Jim brings a wealth of experience to his clients, having worked with Equitable since 1977. He has the skill set and credentials to bring unique access to Lakeside clients as Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant, and he is also certified to sell health insurance in the Federal Facilitated Marketplace (FFM), as well as Medicare Advantage Plans.
Jim’s priority is to ensure that clients have appropriate and adequate benefits when they enter retirement, and beyond. He provides a scope of plan based on an individual’s current situation and stage of life, and makes sure that each client has a plan that will allow them to focus on the retirement they have worked so hard for, without having to worry about their healthcare coverage.
Jim has prioritized his ability to provide the most up-to-date and comprehensive coverage for his clients by staying on top of his professional affiliates and certifications. He is a current member of the Akron Executive Association (AEA), the National Association of Insurance and Financial Associates (NAIFA), the Northeast Ohio Health Underwriters (NEOHU) and the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP). He has previously served as president of the Akron Chapter of SFSP for several years.Jim is a life-long resident of Northeast Ohio, currently residing in Green. He has a daughter, Candice, and is the proud grandfather of Graden. When he is not in the Lakeside office, Jim enjoys golfing.
